About Bengali Association Thakurli Dombivli
Bengali Association Dombivli known as Bengali Association, Thakurli - Dombivli and registered under Public
Trust, 1950, F/877/Thane .1982 & also registered under society act, 1860, MAH /957/Thane, 1982.
The office is situated at G1, Ground floor, Jai Satyam Society, Shiv Mandir Road, Dombivli (East)
Bengali Association Thakurli Dombivli (BATD) organize social & cultural activities among Bengalis residing in
Dombivli & adjoining Thakurli areas to promote exchange with other communities with the following objectives.
- To organize social & family gathering
- To organize religious festivals.
- To organize an educational institution (Refer in school section) to educate & promote education
- To organize annual sports, indoor & outdoor games, picnic etc.
- To give facility to members to read Bengali novels, periodicals etc.
Function & Administration
The administration of BATD is governed by the 15 members. Governing council members are duly elected in the
Annual General Body meeting which is scheduled in every year.
The AGM is called to transact the following business
- 1. To Read and confirmed the Minutes of the last AGM.
- 2. To adopt & pass the audited accounts of Trust, School & Puja (Durga, Lakshmi, Kali & Sawaswati)
- 3. To appoint statutory auditor & to fix the remuneration of the current year.
- 4. To Elect Governing Council Members & Internal Auditor.

Sub committee of School, Puja & Souvenir are formed with a Vice-President as Chairman & Joint Secretary as
secretary of the respective Sub Committees.
President, General Secretary & Treasurer are the Ex officio members of all committees.
